How to improve my Domain authority (DA)?

Domain authority is an essential feature of SEO and search engine ranking. Your domain authority is one of the largest ranking factors in considering the overall authority of your website. Most domains are awarded a score in which their authority is determined online. The equity of your aggregate links essentially determines your rankings within this metric.

A higher DA is often recognized as a metric for success in Internet marketing but Google algorithms are starting to shy away from the process of using DA as a measure of their success. Increasing your domain authority may not necessarily improve your ranking with current Google standards.

Focusing on domain authority soley will not improve your rankings. Using a domain authority resource page can help you look in detail into areas that you could improve your domain authority but they are not paramount to success with ranking your page.

In order to improve your domain authority and achieve a balance strategy for SEO, here are some methods that can be used to maximize search engine ratings and DA:

Improve backlinks:

Finding high authority backlinks is one of the easiest ways to improve your domain authority. If you can guest post on a heavily red blog or get featured in a major news outlet, your authority will rise quickly.

Eliminate spam links:

Older spam links or even mass commenting on your site can kill your DA quickly. If you have a series of older backlinks on low domain authority sites, you may want to consider removing those links from your page.

Drive more traffic to your page:

Consider guest posting or producing more content that can drive content back to your main page or sales page.

DA is not something that you can fake or pay for. You can certainly pay for links from high authority websites but the best way to rank your page and improve DA is with authentic results only. Put in the time, produce high-quality content and start building up your DA for better success in search results.
